A fisherman was reported killed and another survived after an attack carried out by suspected criminals from the Murle tribe at Ajwara area in Pochalla North County in South Sudan’s Boma State over the weekend.
The victim was only identified as Kiru.
Multiple sources told Radio Tamazuj that the two men fell into an ambush while going for fishing in the vicinity of Ajwara area on Sunday.
“I have just received information that two people from Ajwara went for fishing in the vicinity of Ajwara, and they were ambushed by gunmen from the Murle tribe, so one was killed and the other one survived the attack, said a local resident in the area.
Last month, a 40-year-old man was shot dead and his two children abducted by suspected cattle raiders from the Murle tribe at Tedo village.
