Unknown gunmen on Monday kidnapped three policemen at Makpandu refugee camp in Yambio town of Gbudue State, a local official said.

Makpandu is about 35 km east of Yambio town and is also the site of a refugee camp hosting refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Jackson Ezekiel, minister of local government in Gbudwe state, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that unknown gunmen attacked the refugee camp and kidnapped three policemen.

He pointed out that the attackers also took aid assistance for the Congolese refugees to unknown destination.
