A gunman opened fire on a home in the Jebel Dinka neighborhood in the capital Juba, wounding three people, police said.
The victims suffered gunshot wounds in the shooting which occurred on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesman Daniel Justin Boula told Radio Tamazuj this morning that one of the wounded was in critical condition.
He pointed out that the perpetrator has been arrested. The police spokesman said an investigation was underway.
However, Justin said the security situation is generally calm in Juba.
Separately, Daniel Justin said one police officer was killed and two others wounded after police officers fought each other while on duty near Mobil Roundabout in Juba on Sunday night.
He pointed out that an investigation was underway to find out the cause of fighting.
