Grumblings in Abu Jubeiha market over transfer order
Traders in Abu Jubeiha in South Kordofan have opposed a decision by the state government to transfer the city market. The traders say the move would cost them too much.
Abu Jubeiha is a rural town is in eastern South Kordofan. Traders and citizens there told Radio Tamazuj that the authorities made the decision without taking into account the opinion of the citizens.
They say that the order to move the market from its previous location has created wide resentment among the residents and traders.
The County Commissioner has defended the move saying it will allow more shops in the market. But some traders accused the commissioner of scheming to distribute a large number of shop locations in the area to his family and relatives.
