At least one person was killed and 10 others were wounded when an SPLA soldier detonated a hand grenade at Kuacjok market in South Sudan’s Warrap State.
Ajak Ajak, Mayor of Kuacjok town, told Radio Tamazuj that the incident took place around 10:00 am at the market on Sunday.
He further said the bombing resulted in the killing of one person on the spot and wounding of 10 others including Sudanese traders.
The official pointed out that the suspected SPLA soldier was drunk.
The town mayor revealed that the wounded people including children were taken to Wau Teaching Hospital for treatment. He claimed that investigations are underway to identify the perpetrator.
