The Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) chief administrator Friday announced his cabinet, a year since the inception of the administrative area following the reverse of the country’s 32 states.

Lokali Amae Bullen, in a decree seen by Radio Tamazuj, named the ex-deputy governor for the defunct Boma State John Joseph Abulla as his deputy. 

Below is the full list of cabinet members, advisors, and heads of independent commissions. 

Advisors and ministers 

  1. Gazuli Yar Korok, political advisor 
  2. Boutrus Ochalla Ojulo, Security advisor 
  3. Peter Simon, minister for local government and law enforcement
  4. Jay Adingor Alual, minister of information, culture, youth&sports
  5. Joseph Lelimoy, minister of finance, public services, physical infrastructure, agriculture& animal resources
  6. Julia James, minister of education, gender, child&social welfare
  7. Achon John Giro, minister of health& environment

Amae told Radio Tamazuj that the new cabinet when sworn-in will help ensure that peace and basic services are extended to the local population and beyond.   

For his part, Bol Deng Bol, a civil society activist in Jonglei, welcomed the long-overdue cabinet formation, saying it will help smoothen the running of the government activities and address security issues.
