A government employee was killed Wednesday morning in an attack along the road between Kadugli and Al-Semih area in Sudan’s south Kordofan state.

Sources told Radio Tamazuj that El-Said Mohammed Bahar, an employee in the state ministry of finance, was killed at a taxation point about 14 kilometers from Abu Kershola town. A policeman was also injured in the incident.

“The employee was working in a taxation point about 14 kilometers north from Abu Kershola with one policeman. At around four in the morning a group of unknown gunmen attacked them, they hit the policeman with a stick and seized his gun and shot the employee down immediately,” said one source.
