Governor Futuyo declares 3 days of mourning for deceased Yambio County commissioner

Western Equatoria State Governor Gen. Alfred Futuyo Karaba has declared three days of mourning starting Monday for the late commissioner of Yambio County, Hussein Enoka Ibrahim Bakumba, who passed away in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Sunday.

Western Equatoria State Governor Gen. Alfred Futuyo Karaba has declared three days of mourning starting Monday for the late commissioner of Yambio County, Hussein Enoka Ibrahim Bakumba, who passed away in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Sunday.

The Governor also issued an order on Monday to form a high-level committee to coordinate the funeral arrangements of the deceased commissioner.

“The committee is mandated to make all the necessary arrangements for the reception of the body of the late commissioner from Yambio Airstrip to his home and is responsible till the last funeral rites,” the order stated. “Three days are declared mourning days from Monday 25 July 2022 to Wednesday 27 July 2022, and work resumes on Thursday 28 July 2022.”

The governor issued the orders after calling and chairing an extraordinary meeting of state ministers, parliamentarians, and the members of independent commissions on Monday.

It is however not clear when the body of the late Commissioner will arrive in the state.
