South Sudan’s government on Wednesday said it will pursue the rebels who have not signed the ceasefire deal in case of any attack on its bases.

“If anybody is carrying arms, that body must first sign a cessation of hostilities and after which we would sit and discuss,” said Michael Makuei, minister of information.

“Anybody who is not a signatory to the cessation of hostilities and is carrying arms, we have no cessation of hostilities with them and in case they attack us, we will give them hot pursuit,” he added.

South Sudan's government and opposition groups have recently recommitted themselves to silence the guns.
