Two members of the government negotiating team arrived in Juba for consultations with the country’s top leadership on the outstanding issues.

Mrs Awut Deng Achuil and Martin Elia Lomoro briefed President Salva kiir, First Vice President Taban Deng and Vice President James Wani Igga on peace talks in Khartoum.

In a press  statement, cabinet affairs minister Martin Elia Lomuro said the unity government and the opposition agreed on most outstanding issues except for specific matters that will be resolved soon.

The official reaffirmed his government’s commitment to bring peace in South Sudan.
