The South Sudanese government has dispatched a delegation to the peace talks in Addis Ababa today, headed by Kiir’s adviser Nhial Deng Nhial.
“The government delegation has already travelled to Addis Ababa this afternoon. The team was briefed first by the president,” Ateny Wek Ateny, South Sudan’s presidential spokesman told Radio Tamazuj.
“The president instructed the delegation to go to Addis Ababa and come back with peace to the people of South Sudan,” he added.
South Sudan’s warring parties are due to resume the second phase of the peace revitalization process on 5 February.
