The second session of the revitalization forum in Addis Ababa this afternoon hit a snag when government delegates chose to boycott the meeting over the number of representatives to attend the meeting.
Multiple sources at the venue of peace talks in Addis Ababa told Radio Tamazuj that the government delegation decided to boycott this afternoon’s meeting because they wanted more than three representatives to attend.
"The government said they wanted more representatives to attend the meeting while IGAD allows three representatives only,” One of the sources said.
The sources said all delegates have entered into the hall but the government delegation decided to remain outside until their complaint is addressed.
The second session this afternoon elaborates on the agenda of the second phase of the revitalization process of the 2015 peace accord.
Leaders of South Sudanese delegations and eminent personalities are scheduled to give their statements, besides the adoption of the forum’s principles.
