The three day joint  peace conference in Tiaptiap county , Gok state, has wrapped up  with a call for comprehensive peace between the two sisterly states and return of stolen cattle  .  The peace conference brought together community members from the Tonj and Gok states at which communal and border matters dominated discussions involving traditional leaders, youth and women groups.

 In a press briefing after the conference, the Commissioner of Duony County, Abraham Gop Achien, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues said, the conference has resolved to apprehend the criminals with murder cases to the courts for trail, and to return the raided cattle to their rightful owners.

The Commissioner further added that all the resolutions of the conference will be implemented immediately in order to achieve stability in the two states. The conference was attended by the neighboring communities from Tonj and Gok states.
