The Commissioner of the Gok state Headquarters, who was arrested on the order of the local High court last week in Cueibet for the escape of his son, is seeking a removal from office.

Commissioner James Aguer Dut said in an interview with Radiotamazuj that he has been released on bail on condition that he will be taken back to the court on the 23rd this month for more investigation. He later went to Governor Madhang Majok Meen at his residence on Wednesday this week and requested him to remove him from his position as Commissioner of the state Headquarter.

He attributed his decision to the fact that his image has been tarnished by the local politician of his home area Mayath whom he declined to mention their names. Aguer added that Governor Madhang will decide on the matter very soon as the new reshuffling is at the gate. The 79 year old local politician has blamed the state authority and politician for assassinating him politically.

He said is an elder and didn’t take part in the escape of his son who had earlier last year killed a son of the maternal uncle to governor named Makol Abayok Muorwel. Aguer claimed that he was humiliated by lifting his immunity to attend the court hearing while he is still a serving county commissioner.
