The Governor of Gok State Madhang Majok Meen this weekend has issued a decree relieving the State Minister of Local Government and Law enforcement Agencies Samuel Wel Maciek.

There is no replacement made and the decree comes into effect from 19 November. No reason was provided for his relief. Samuel Wel Maciek shares one constituency known as Joth Mayar Administrative Unit with the governor.

Earlier, the governor on Thursday this week issued another decree relieving the State Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports John Madol Panther, Education Minister Victoria Akur Jongkuc, State Secretary General Santino Ater Mon Wantok and the commissioner of the headquarters, James Guer Dut.

No reasons were given for their relief.

However, Dut had already been detained previously at the police station while Santino was suspended by the Deputy Governor of Gok State Kangoor Deng Kangoor over financial irregularities at the state secretariat general.
