Gok Legislator fired at relative

A member of parliament in the newly created Gok State transitional legislative Assembly has fired at a relative, drawing attention of the local population and state officials. Gordon Ater Machar, an area representative of Malou Pec County, exchanged gun fire with the son of his uncle, Chuetnga Mabeny at Langdit Payam. The two commissioners of Cueibet county, Peter Anyoun Dut and Malou Pech county, Enock Machuoc Mayol met in Langdit to reduce the tension in the area on Monday this week. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj in the area where the attempted shooting had occurred, the commissioner of Malou Pech County, Enock Machuoc Mayol said the situation could have been worst if Almighty God didn’t help. The Deputy Governor of Gok state, Kangor Deng Kangor has instructed the organized forces asking for disarmament and to bring suspects to Cueibet County for investigation. If anyone is found to have caused insecurity in the area, he will face justice. The suspects didn’t comment on the matter as they were not allowed to give statement. The Speaker of Gok state Legislative Assembly, Veronica Philiph Dak, condemned her member of parliament for having violated the conducted of Business of the Assembly. Veronica pointed out that the issue will be investigated properly. Other sources in the area are saying that the two in the conflict have been accusing themselves for not supporting each other as relatives.
