Gok education minister resigns

John Marik Makur, minister of education in  Gok state has resigned from his duties accusing Gok state Governor, Madhang Majok Meen of lack of transparency and accountability.

John Marik Makur, minister of education in  Gok state has resigned from his duties accusing Gok state Governor, Madhang Majok Meen of lack of transparency and accountability.

Marik attributed his decision to lack of proper system and vision by the state governor, saying he would rather serve under someone who embraces team work, accountable and transparency. Marik cited disappearance into thin air of money given by the national government to the state government to help them upgrade internal road.

“When Gok state Governor is asked for road money which was donated by the National government, he begins to intimidate you “said Marik”. Gok state Governor Madhang has approved the resignation letter of the minister. This is the third time for the senior government official in Gok state to resign after Victoria Akur Jongkuc, former Minister of Education, Dr. Ater Manguak Maliep, Director General of state ministry of health.
