The speaker of Gok State transitional legislative assembly has sacked deputy clerk to the assembly, citing poor performance.

Speaker Veronica Philip Dak, terminated the service of Santino Bol Chinor, who contested the decision and submitted his resignation, claiming he resigned from the position in protest of the monopoly of the affairs of the institution by the speaker.

Bol, according to the copy of the letter which Radio Tamazuj has obtained, said he has resigned from the position of Deputy Clerk to the Assembly on Thursday this week because  the relations between the speaker and the clerk was undermining the public affairs.

He attributed the cause to developing intimate relationship between Speaker and the Clerk, claiming such a close relations was undermining institutional working relations and making it look like a private institution where individual interest supplant the public in addressing  matters.

He claimed James Udhel Mayor, who hailed from the area of the speaker, used to undermine other officials who are within her Administration. The former deputy clerk pointed out that the speaker is treating the staff like a street children at home. He added that there is lack of accountability and justice in the Assembly as the Assembly is the representing the views of the people, but was now turning into a sort of   self-representative instead of the people.

Bol further claimed that both Speaker and Clerk have been conducting and handling the Assembly affairs as relative, forgetting that they were running the public affairs. He concluded that as he is a justice seeker and that is why he decided to refrain from such maladministration that will tarnish the image of the state and Assembly.

The Clerk to the Assembly, James Udhel Mayor, denied the claims of Santino Bol
