Gok and Tonj States discuss security issues

The governor of South Sudan’s Gok State Madhang Majok Meen and Tonj State Governor on Saturday held a one-day meeting in Tonj town where they discussed issues related to security between the two states.

The governor of South Sudan’s Gok State Madhang Majok Meen and Tonj State Governor on Saturday held a one-day meeting in Tonj town where they discussed issues related to security between the two states.

 The two officials announced that the meeting resolved to apprehend cattle raiders and people involved in criminals activities from both sides and take them to court.

The two leaders also agreed to return stolen cattle to their owners immediately and hold a peace and reconciliation conference between the two states as soon as possible.

 Governor Madhang Majok Meen who paid a one-day visit to Tonj State was accompanied by his Security Adviser Isaac Mayom Malek and five county commissioners of Malou Pec, Wat Adol, Ctichok, Anyaar Nguan and Duony.
