Gogrial State orders civil servants to work on Fridays

Gogrial State, one of three controversial successor governments to Warrap State, has asked civil servants observe Fridays as working day once again with effect from 7 October.

In April this year, the council of ministers in Gogrial State in their extraordinary sitting decided to make Fridays as a day for cultivation, but the period for planting is now over.

The provisional order which ran from 14 April to 14 September aimed to give time to civil servants to engage in their farms in order to boost food production in order to fight hunger and poverty in the state.

According to an order from the office of the state governor which was announced on the local radio station last week, all government employees are now to strictly observe  Fridays as government official working days.

The order warns that the government will not tolerate anybody found to be against it.
