Gogrial state governor sacks 2 ministers, 3 commissioners, other officials

Abraham Gum Makuac, governor of the South Sudan’s proposed Gogrial State has issued a gubernatorial order relieving his finance minister Kon John Akot and Rev. William Chan Achuil from the education and social welfare ministry.

Gum in his decree which was read over the local FM last evening also removed the state security adviser Victor Atem Atem, state secretary general Maluac Lueth Maluac, Kuac North county commissioner Aleu Kon Akol, Aguok North County Commissioner Anderia Ajang Akot, Apuk South county commissioner Gabriel Thiep Akol and state coordination officer in Juba Yier Yier Morwel.

Gum also reappointed former security adviser Victor Atem Atem to the lead education and social welfare ministry and Yier Yier Morwel to replace Maluac Lueth Maluac, the outgoing secretary general.

Geng Mayuot Gum has been name state security adviser to replace Victor Atem Atem while Marol Manyuat Lual becomes the new finance minister replacing former minister of finance Kon John Akot.

Other new appointees as county commissioners are: Col. Gong Ayii Madut for Kuac North County to replace Aleu Kon Akol; Major Manut Ngor Riny for Apuk South County to replace Gabriel Thiep Akol; and Capt. Mayiik Agoth Mayot of Aguok North County to replace Anderia Ajang Akot.

Maror Madut Diing was name the state coordinator to lead the coordination office in Juba.

Governor Gum, according to order which made public yesterday did not state any reasons for relieving his two ministers and three county commissioners without giving them new responsibilities.
