A law enforcement official from Awan Chan County in Gogrial State is calling on the community to stop “child abuses and child rights,”
“I’m appealing to all mothers and fathers to allow their children enjoy their freedom and rights and not keeping them at homes to do heavy duties. This is child abuse and also a violation of child rights” Madut Anei Mawien told Radio Tamazuj.
Mawien’s remark comes following an incident last month when a fourteen year old girl hung herself after being told to work on a Sunday. The parents of the girl are being held by local authorities, he said.
“Don’t beat them or talk hard or even don’t insulted them because they will take you negatively and this cause harm to them” Anei said.
