The governor of South Sudan’s Gogrial state has welcomed the state of emergency declared by President Salva Kiir, placing Gogrial and other three states under watchful eyes of the security.

Governor Gregory Deng Kuac told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that the order would help the government and the communities consolidate the desire to live in peace and harmony.

“As the state government the order is acceptable. It would enhance and consolidate our efforts to ensure that there is a law and order. We are now explaining to the people the purpose for which it was issued and what it would achieve. The people are receptive of the order, “he explained.

 Gregory described the security situation after the declaration of the state of emergency as normal.
