The newly appointed governor of Gogrial state Maj. Gen. Gregory Deng Kuac has issued a decision removing three county commissioners and a security advisor in less than a week after he took oath of office.
In a gubernatorial decree read out on the local media on Monday, Governor Deng fired Daniel Anyuon Chan Ajuong, the commissioner of Apuk East, Peter Matem Yak, the commissioner of Swan Chan county and Lual Lual Makak, the commissioner of Awan Rieu County.
Deng also issued another decree appointing Anyuon Dhal Anyuon as the commissioner of Apuk East replacing Daniel Anyuon Chan, Simon Apet Deng as the commissioner of Awan Chan replacing Peter Matem Yak and Joseph Atem as the commissioner of Awan Rieu replacing Lual Lual Makak.
Akot Lual Akot was appointed as a new security advisor replacing Geng Mayuot Gum.
The decree did not cite any reason for the removal of officials barely one week after Governor Deng took his office last week.
One of the three newly appointed commissioners Simon Apet Deng of Awan Chan County confirmed his appointment in an interview with Radio Tamazuj today from Kuajok where he attended the swearing in ceremony.
He pointed out that he will soon be meeting communities in his county so that he will be in a position to make his priorities.
Apet had served as a payam administrator Akon South before the creation of 28 states and executive director in Aguok Centre County.
