Governor Gregory Deng appointed Paul Duwar Bak as the deputy secretary general of the state government and Akot Garang Chimiir as the deputy town Mayor for Kuacjok municipality.

The appointments are the latest since he was appointed to the position to replace his predecessor, Abraham Gum Makuac. His first orders were the dismissal and appointments of the three county commissioners and the cancelation of the ban for the consumption and sale of alcoholic drinks in the state. The order was issued by the former governor and his team.
