Ghulfan-Dar El Naila tribes to hold peace talks in mid-September

A final peace and reconciliation conference between the Ghulfan and Dar El Naila tribes is expected to be convened between 10 to 15 September, according to the Ghulfan tribal leader.

A final peace and reconciliation conference between the Ghulfan and Dar El Naila tribes is expected to be convened between 10 to 15 September, according to the Ghulfan tribal leader.

Fadul Habila, an emir of the Ghalfan tribe, told Radio Tamazuj Sunday that they were informed by the peace and reconciliation committee about a new date set for the meeting.

“I think the necessary arrangements are in place. It will be held at Lectures Hall in University of Dilling,” he said.

On 28 August, the omda of Dar En Naila tribe in Dilling Sadig Ham Locality, told Radio Tamazuj that they conference was adjourned indefinitely after the peace committee failed to come to the venue of the meeting.

The tribal leader also blamed South Kordofan governor Adam El Faki for the failure of the conference.
