A civil society group in South Sudan’s Aweil State said gender-based violence cases are declining in compare to previous months in the state.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj last week, Garang Tong Bak, Deputy Executive Director for South Aid, appreciated security plans of Aweil state security organs to carry out night patrols to crackdown on criminals.

He pointed out that the criminals are the main causes of gender-based violence in the state.
