A young man roughly 20 years old was killed in Aweil after being attacked by gangs in early October, a local police official told Radio Tamazuj.

“I was told they were in the place of drinking and when he was going they attacked him on the road and then they stabbed him at his leg and later died,” Aweil State Police Commissioner Major General Elias Kosta told Radio Tamazuj.

The police chief called on citizens to help police in providing information for crimes in the state.
