Farmers of irrigated schemes in Sudan’s Blue Nile complained of lack of fuel in the area amid fear that this would cause failure of the agricultural season.

Several farmers told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that the area lacks fuel supplies, adding that this would affect the agricultural season and might lead to failure of the harvest if the situation continues as such.

One of the farmers said that the Ministry of Agriculture failed to provide large quantities of fuel for farming this year.

The complaining farmers called upon concerned authorities to intervene before the agricultural season fails and leads to a difficult life.

They explained that the lack of fuel could cause failure of farming season in Agadi and Um Darfa areas.
