A fuel shortage has disrupted public transport in South Sudan’s capital Juba, forcing some commuters to walk in order to carry out their daily routine.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, several taxi bus drivers said there is a general lack of fuel, pointing out that it affected some vital facilities in the town.
They further said the crisis started just two days ago, accusing the owners of fuel stations of being greedy.
People were seen queuing for long hours and sometimes leaving without making it onto a minibus owing to the lack of operating buses.
Meanwhile, a health worker said fuel shortage has affected various healthcare centres, expressing concern about conditions of patients admitted at hospitals.
