Abu Jubeiha Locality in Sudan’s South Kordofan is reportedly experiencing an acute shortage of fuel and electrical blackouts.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, citizens expressed their discontent about the lack of basic services as well as a blackout which they said had lasted four days due to malfunction of generators and shortage of fuel.

“The price of a gallon of gasoline in the black market reached 50 pounds while queues increased at the stations,” a citizen from the region said.

Citizens also blamed the locality commissioner, Babiker Sharif, for neglecting to maintain roads and developmental projects within the town. They urged the Governor of South Kordofan Adam Al Faki to intervene and strive to provide services to the people.
