At least four Sudanese soldiers were killed and 40 others were hurt in a traffic accident along the Kurmuk-Dindir route in Sudan’s Blue Nile state on Sunday.
Eyewitness from the area told Radio Tamazuj that the military vehicle involved in the incident was carrying soldiers, saying the wounded organized forces were taken to Damazin Military Hospital for treatment.
Heavy deployment of government forces to Blue Nile comes after the announcement of the second phase of a ‘decisive summer operation’ in Blue Nile, Darfur and Kordofan states by the Sudanese Defence Minister, with the purpose of eliminating insurgency in the those areas.
