At least four people from Nuba tribes were reportedly killed by armed herders in Habila Locality in Sudan’s South Kordofan state.

Osama Ahmed, an eyewitness, told al-Jareeda newspaper yesterday that clashes took place at Kunas village when certain Arab nomadic tribes tried to enter into the area for grazing their livestock on Thursday.

According to the same source, at least two people were killed on the spot during the tribal clashes. The victims were identified as Adam Ahmed, an imam aged 45, and Ahmed Nassir, 24.

The source further revealed the assailants also killed another two people on Saturday evening. Ahmed deplored the use of guns by herders to intimidate the farmers.
