Citizens in Bahr Grinti County of Amadi State do not get basic health care, leading to four deaths since last month, a local official said.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, the Bahr Girinti County Commissioner, Emmanuel Majok Brown said his area has continuously lacked health services.

He confirmed that at least four people died from treatable ailments due to lack of medicines in the county.

The local official attributed the inability by patients to access health facilities on time to the poor conditions of roads in the area.

He said malaria cases increased during the rainy season, while hernia is also spreading among the local population.
