At least four people died when their houses collapsed during heavy rainfall in Sudan’s Sennar state this week, according to citizens. Several more were injured when a mosque’s minaret fell on one of the houses.
Several other houses were damaged and destroyed in the heavy rainfall.
The commissioner of Sennar locality, Engineer Abul Qasim Hassan Fadul, released a press statement confirming that the government was assessing the damage and was preparing to compensate those who were affected.
