Bodies of four people killed by unknown gunmen were found along the road linking South Sudan’s Tambura State to the Gbudwe State capital, Yambio.
Tambura State information minister, Mathew Aime said the dead bodies were found on Tuesday and that a committee had been formed by the government to investigate the matter.
He said efforts are underway to ensure the perpetrators are brought to book as government works hard to prevent such barbaric acts.
Aime, who sent condolences to the families of the victims, called for calm among the citizens as investigations into the issue continues.
This is the third incident of killing along the Tambura-Yambio road. Last month, unknown gunmen shot and killed a trader on the same road.
