Former governor of Terekeka state Augustino Laku has welcomed his dismissal by the country’s president Salva Kiir on Wednesday.
His comments come a day after President Kiir sacked him. In a decree read on the state-owned SSBC, Kiir removed Laku and replaced him with Jacob Gore Samuel, without giving reasons.
Laku told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that his removal was a normal administrative change which happens everywhere.
The sacked governor welcomed his successor Jacob Gore with a pledge to extend his support should it be required in Terekeka state.
