Former Commissioner of Pochalla South County Omot Achaw has died in Khartoum while seeking treatment. The body was flown to Juba on Friday to be taken to Pochalla South County for burial.

Hon. Omot Achaw passed away on Thursday in one of the hospitals in the Sudanese capital Khartoum where he has been seeking treatment since November last year. The late worked first as Pochalla County health director before he was appointed commissioner of Pochalla South last year.

Pochalla County was hit by inter-communal conflict last year, but the situation is now calm after many attempts by authorities in both counties.
