A South Sudanese finance manager, Tedros Tombe, was shot dead by unidentified assailants near Rambo football ground at Munuki residential area in Juba on Wednesday evening.

Josephine Achiro, executive director of the Community Media Network, told Radio Tamazuj today that Tombe, who was in charge of finance in their organization, was killed by unknown gunmen.

She pointed out that they have opened a case with the police against unknown assailants but no arrests have been made so far.

NOTICE OF CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story stated that Tedros Tombe was a former journalist. This is incorrect. Tombe was working as a finance manager for the Catholic radio station Bakhita FM before he joined the Community Media Network.
