Conflict-displaced people at Rome Camp in Akoka County in Upper Nile state are still facing shortages of food and medicines, a camp leader said Wednesday.

James Mansour Dau told Radio Tamazuj that the estimated 14,000 displaced people have not received food rations since September. He warned conditions will worsen if food rations are not distributed to the desperate people as soon as possible.

He further said the IDPs are also complaining about shortages of kalazar drugs. James said about 37 cases of kalazar have been recorded at the camp.
