South Sudanese refugees in Uganda’s Rhino camp for refugees said the humanitarian, educational and health situation is steadily deteriorating in the camp.

A refugee who spoke to Radio Tamazuj on condition of anonymity complained about shortages of food, saying relief officials have reduced their food ration.

He further said the reduction of the food ration has affected thousands of families in the camp. He explained that they are now given only 7 kilograms of flour for one month, yet it is not enough compared to the number of families.

“We are really suffering. Our kids are not going to schools and it is difficult to access drinking water. The UN officials are even tired of our demands because the food ration they give is not enough,” he said.
