Prices of crops, vegetables and other commodities have increased rapidly at the market in Tandelti town in Sudan’s White Nile State.
“A sack of sorghum locally known as Fatrita has increased from 230 SDG to 260 SDG, while a sack of sorghum known as Thabet increased from 270 SDG to 300 SDG,” a trader said.
The same trader told Radio Tamazuj that a sack of onion was at 380 SDG, while a quintal of white sesame costs 380 SDG and a quintal of ful costs 360 SDG.
Local residents also complained about increasing prices of vegetables at the market. However, they noted that the prices of all types of meats remained stable.
