Deputy executive director for Malual North County Kuot Anyuon said that people in the area are struggling to find sorghum already, and the new harvest will begin in the coming weeks.

He called on the World Food Programme to begin food drops, and an airstrip was cleared two weeks ago.

“The only hope is WFP food that we expect to be dropped in the coming days” Kuot stressed
