Heavy rains and floods have affected an estimated 600 households of internally displaced peoople in Bor town of Jonglei State.

Radio Miraya reported that floods swept through a camp hosting the displaced people. Some of the flood victims complained that thieves have taken advantage of the situation to steal their properties.

Gabriel Gai, Director for Water and Sanitation, says the authorities are also concerned that the effects of flood waters could result in waterborne diseases.
