About five members of the Sudanese Armed Forces including a lieutenant colonel from Division Four in Blue Nile State have been dismissed, a local source said.

The source told Radio Tamazuj Thursday that dismissed soldiers were held and accused of involvement in killing an officer last year, but were released from custody in late October.

An officer called Mohammed Ahmed was among the dismissed soldiers, the source said.
