A fisherman has been was killed in Aweil North County in Kiir Adem River, which lies in a border area between Sudan and South Sudan.
The incident was blamed on a nomad from neighboring Sudan and one suspect has been arrested, according to the chairman for information in the state parliament Achap Thiep.
The suspect is now being detained in prison in Aweil town.
Achap said, “The incident was in Kiir Adem. The one who was killed was one of the fisheries, and he was killed by the work of nomads. So he’s not a soldier and he was not even fighting, but the person was arrested.”
He disclosed that the victim was from Gok Machar in Aweil North.
