On Sunday evening, a large fire destroyed 24 shops and more than four houses in Wan Jok locality, east of Aweil in Northern Bahr Al Ghazal, South Sudan.

A number of traders said the fire started in a shop and spread throughout the market.

A shopowner said the fire destroyed more than 20 shops and four houses, causing massive estimated losses.
