A fire burnt 38 homes camp at Yida camp on Saturday, destroying properties and cash belonging to refugees from the Nuba Mountains.
The fire was caused accidentally by children at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon near the north market of Yida, and spread as a result of strong winds and crowded structures.
Thousands of pounds worth of furniture, cash and personal items were destroyed. Victims of the blaze called on authorities to better organize construction in the area and appealed to aid organizations to assist those affected.
