A fire broke out at the UN Protection of Civilians Site (PoCs) in Bentiu town in South Sudan’s Northern Liech State on Friday, burning more than 90 houses, several eyewitnesses said.
The eyewitnesses told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that an extensive fire caused by a young boy broke out at Blck 10 inside the UN camp in Bentiu town.
Peter Garkuoth, a displaced person inside the camp, said the fire wounded a three-year child and destroyed properties. He pointed out that the young boy was arrested for allegedly causing the fire, saying investigations are underway.
