Caretaker Governor John Kong Nyuon has dismissed the Jonglei state finance minister Dhano Obongo by decree on Tuesday, according to state information minister Jody Jonglei.

Jody told Radio Tamazuj that no minister has yet been appointed to replace him. Asked about the reason for the change he said it was just “a normal change.”

Last week, Duk County Commissioner Jacob Akech was also dismissed and no new commissioner was appointed replacing him. The executive director of the county is acting as commissioner.
